Autoidentify

(main client only)

• Login to the Mibbit site or Create an account
• Connect to irc.mibbit.com and register your nick-name to NickServ

Auto-Identify

• click "Account", fill in:
  • "Server" <irc.mibbit.net> or <your.server.name>
  • "Nick" <yourNick>
  • "Pass" <yourPass>
  • leave "NickServ" or choose the auth-method your server uses
  • click [Add] and save!

Repeat those steps for other servers

Auto-Connect

• click "Channels", fill in:
  • "Server" (same as above!)
  • "Channels", e.g., #myCh1,#myCh2[ optional_chKey]
  • leave "Auto-Connect" checked (for your favorite rooms)
  • click [Add] and save!
  • "Server" (same as above!)
  • "Channels", e.g., #myCh3,#myCh4[ optional_chKey]
  • uncheck "Auto-Connect" (for rooms visited only on demand)
  • click [Add] and save!

Repeat those steps for other servers

Note: the default server for both clients was changed from irc.mibbit.com to irc.mibbit.net , therefore you have to change older entries in "Account" and "Channels".

You then will be owner, op, etc. in your main channel(s) whenever you load Mibbit.com/chat
